GOLIAD – A 90-day burn ban effective immediately was approved by the Goliad County Commissioners Court during its meeting Monday.

Goliad County Judge David Bowman said the drought index Monday was 591 and is projected to rise well above 600 over the next two weeks. The threshold used by the county is 575.
