St. Peter’s to host Social Security workshop July 14

A life event workshop entitled “Getting More From Social Security” will be held on Sunday, July 14 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Ander.

The workshop will help participants understand Social Security and learn ways to optimize those benefits, as well as other considerations to help achieve their goals for retirement. It will begin at 10:30 a.m. following St. Peter’s 9 a.m. worship service and is free and open to the public. St. Peter’s is located at 1545 E. Farm-to-Market Road 1961 in Ander.

The workshop will be presented by Jeff Bibler and Bob Markle of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Bibler is a graduate of Valparaiso University and has been a financial representative with the Houston Bay Area Group of Thrivent since 2000. He is active in supporting Central American Lutheran Mission Society and Lutheran Inter-city Network Coalition. He and his wife have four children and four grandchildren.

Markle studied business management at Williamsport Area Community College in Pennsylvania and began his career with Thrivent Financial in 1991 as a Lutheran Brotherhood representative. He is a partner for Thrivent’s Texas regional office in Houston, managing a team of financial representatives and community engagement specialists. He holds Chartered Leadership Fellow and Fraternal Insurance Counselor designations and is a certified gift planner for the Lutheran Community Foundation.
