She was born October 17, 1944 in Kenedy to Felipe Ramirez and Christina Contreras Ramirez. She worked as a CNA for Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital and attended Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her children, Norma J. Villanueva of Karnes City, Rosie (Pablo) Garza of San Antonio, Candido (Emma) Villanueva of New Branfuels and John Henry (Marina) Villanueva of Kenedy; her sisters, Dominga Sanchez, Elida Contreras and Agapita Flores and her brothers Timothy Sanchez, Jose Ramirez, Joel Contreras and Fabian Contreras; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Ms. Villanueva is preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Christina Ramirez.
Visitation was held Friday, June 14 in Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited that evening at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Norbert Herman officiating.
Interment followed in the Loma Alta Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Rickie Duenes, Thomas Villanueva, Albert Farias, Eloy Contreras, Justin Villanueva, Oscar Farias, Jaxson Villanueva, Ty Villanueva and Adian Munoz.
