I have always been fascinated with the ocean. I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau on television and I've read more books about sharks and octopi and squids than you can shake a stick at. I love spending time at the Texas State Aquarium down in Corpus Christi, but I can't always make it down there to visit. Luckily, this week I won't have to.

Wednesday, June 19 from 3 – 4 p.m. please, join us at the Runge Public Library as we welcome the Texas State Aquarium and their program Ocean in a Box. There will be several tables chock full of ocean bio-facts that you can pick up, interact with and explore (please note that there will be no live animals in this display). They will be talking about the ocean and the creatures that live in and around it, like sharks and sea turtles and coral and seabirds and my personal favorite, squid. Please make some time and come say hi.

For more information please contact the Runge Public Library at (830) 239-4192.
