GOLIAD – The City of Goliad is once again seeking a new economic development coordinator.

Former Victoria Parks and Recreation Director Doug Cochran assumed the post Wednesday and then handed in his resignation Friday. According to City Secretary Pam Long, Cochran said he received another job offer.

Cochran served as Victoria Parks and Recreation Director for 23 years before resigning in February.

City administrator Larry Zermeno was unavailable for comment Monday. Long said the city will bring in other candidates to begin the process of hiring for the position.
