City shouldn't allow livestock in town

I am not in favor of the city granting a request for a livestock permit on property located at 736 N. Jefferson.

I find the idea of housing so many horses and steers to be very detrimental as far as the value of my property is concerned, not only at the present but in the future.

Furthermore, I do not relish the additional noise, dust or lights that a roping arena right behind my property would bring. Goliad ISD property is adjacent to the land in question. I feel that the proximity of the animals and activities might be considered an attractive nuisance and a danger to students and school property.

I am dedicated to the upkeep of my property in a way that would benefit me, my neighbors and the City of Goliad. I would hope those who own or purchase property within the city limits would do the same. A roping arena, no matter how small, should be located outside the city limits.
