The following is an accounting of calls for service for April 2013:

Loose livestock calls, which take a lot of a deputy’s time, are high with 92; criminal mischief calls are also high with 23; suspicious persons, vehicles or activity calls with 38. Theft or burglary calls are much higher than usual. Many of the loose livestock calls concern the same animals/ owners; citations have been issued with repeated visits or the animals picked up by the county cowboy.

Along with these calls, deputies must write reports and take statements to go with the crimes reported and are expected to make patrols of the whole county.
