FALLS CITY – The May 15 monthly meeting of the Falls City ISD board of trustees saw its recently elected members swear the oath of office, as well as the reorganization and election of officers for the board.

The board reviewed and confirmed the May 11 school board election results from the polling stations in Falls City, Cestohowa and Hobson.

Trustees Edward Bordovsky and Patrick Jarzombek won reelection to full term seats, and Marlin Moczygemba won the unexpired seat that was vacated by the resignation of Stephen Dziuk.

FCISD Business Manager Teri Crawford administered the oath of office to the elected board members and had them sign official documents.

Next the board moved to nominate and elect officers to the position of president, vice-president, and secretary of the board.

Pat Jarzombek was nominated for board president. The board agreed that Jarzombek would be a good fit due to the fact that he is retired and can be more readily available and accessible as the district goes through continued changes and transitions.

“I want to nominate Pat Jarzombek for president so that we have him for closeness because of things transitioning and to be accessible to the new administrator. We’re going to need someone close by,” said board member Mindy Jendrusch.

Jarzombek was unanimously confirmed as board president, with Raymond Dziuk being unanimously confirmed as board vice-president, and Jendrusch unanimously confirmed to reatain her position as board secretary.
