Cleobury’s Beeville concert program includes J.S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in C minor and C major and his chorale “Sei gegrusset, Jesu gutig”; C.P.E. Bach’s Sonata in A minor; and Mozart’s Fantasia in F minor and major.
As director of music at King’s College, Cambridge and conductor laureate of the BBC Singers, Cleobury is associated with two of Britain’s most famous choirs and works with leading symphony orchestras and period instrument ensembles.
He has played in venues as diverse as the Cultural Centre, Hong Kong, the Conference Centre of the Church of the Latter Day Saints, Salt Lake City, and Haderslev Cathedral in Denmark.
Admission for adults who do not hold BCA season tickets is $10. Students through high school age are admitted free, as is any adult who accompanies two students; Coastal Bend College students will be admitted with their photo IDs.
Each Music in the Nave concert has a charitable focus; Rotary International’s “End Polio Now” campaign is the one designated for the Cleobury concert. Audience members will have the opportunity to donate at the end of the concert if they wish to do so.
