Tigers edge Bloomington 6-5

GOLIAD – The Goliad Tigers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday night to take a 6-5 District 30-2A baseball win over the Bloomington Bobcats.

Edward Rubio went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI, Denton Ohrt was 1-for-4 with two RBI, Zach Helmer was 1-for-3 with a double and Dustin Heibel was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Heibel was the winning pitcher as he threw five innings and struck out seven.

Goliad improved to 9-8 overall and 6-4 in district play.
