Carmel I. Rackley, age 96, died on Wednesday, March 27, at a local nursing home after an extended illness. She was born to Charlie and Ai (Witten) Buzan on May 4, 1916 in Pleasanton, Texas. She was a homemaker and raised her four sons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Seeley Wade Rackley; her son, Robert Wayne Rackley; and her two sisters, Veda Smith and Eunice Buzan.

Survivors include, William Wade (Elsie) Rackley of Pleasanton; Betty Rackley of Pleasanton; Leo Daniel (Beartha) Rackley of George West; Jerry Lee (Nelda) Rackley of San Antonio; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday, March 28, from 5-7 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.

Funeral Service were Friday, March 29, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ Church in George West. Andrew Fridelle and Franklin Rackley officiated. Pallbearers were Daniel Rackley, Jeff Rackley, Wayne Rackley, Jerel Rackley, Mark Tullos, Mike Dodd, Jay TenEyck and Mike Priadka.

Burial followed at the George West Cemetery, George West.

Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
