This Ford F-150 pickup was involved in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon on State Highway 183.
Diego Gonzalez was also cited for an expired license and failure to control speed in the crash that occurred at about 1:25 p.m.
The 18-wheel tank truck owned by Inland Transport was being operated by Morris Alliphin of Odem. He did not suffer any injuries.
According to the DPS report, the 18-wheeler had stopped in the southbound lane after being instructed to do so by a flagman at an intersection near the site where oilfield pipe is being laid.
Traffic was detoured on State Highway 183 for almost an hour.
