Officers Jim Doughtrey, Bill McClendon, Steve Woodmansee and Rick Thomas, aided by spectator Jody Muschalek, hauled the nearly 300 pounds of reptile out of the stock tank and into a waiting pickup. Bob Moore, game warden from Karnes County, heads back for his boots, left on the muddy bank and breathes a sigh of relief that those teeth can't get any closer to his exposed toes.
