On May 23, 5 families were awarded certificates and prizes for participating in the Family Fitness Frenzy Contest. A monetary donation was provided by Armstrong/Weatherly Associates of Houston along with prizes provided by the Texas Department of State Health Services

The contest consisted of families spending time together exercising and logging in their time. The winners were: 1) Richard and Margaret Robinson, Cayla and Colby, Celeste Coffman - 1620 minutes; 2) Heather Gisler, Brent and Brooke - 1390 minutes; 3) Barbara Gonzales, Destiny Martinez - 1280 minutes; 4) Suzanne Brown, Braden and Kash - 1275 minutes; 5) Julie Nichols, Dylan - 935 minutes. Monica Gwosdz R.N. from the Texas Department of State Health Services presented the awards.
