REFUGIO — Refugio ISD Athletic Director Jason Herring was named 2A coach of the year by Lone Star Gridiron last week.
In his fifth year at Refugio, Herring led the Refugio Bobcats to a perfect 15-0 season and the 2A state championship - the second in his coaching career.
