GEORGE WEST- GWISD website has a totally new and updated look. If you visit www.gwisd.esc2.net, you will see essential information in a user-friendly format. With the goal of improving communication at GWISD, teachers, administrators, students, and parents will eventually be able to track classroom news, homework assignments, blogs, pictures and teacher contact information.

Technology Director Deanna Blackwell has spent summer months designing and creating the new site and has begun training some employees.

While it will take a while for all staff members to be trained and get their individual pages up and running, the main site is now in place.

Parent resources such as “Pay Lunch Money Now”, VSI—the school grade book system that allows parents to access their child’s attendance and grades, and tips and websites for parents are available through the site’.

Parents will be able to stay up-to-date by receiving free GWISD event reminders through the “District Calendar” link on the main page. School event reminders will be sent through email automatically after you register for this service. Additionally, parents can receive newsletter updates by registering for the news update at http://www.gwisd.esc2.net/vnews/display.v?page=vlist_signup.
