The perfect season ended with wins over the Banquete Bulldogs. The 7th graders grinded out a 36-6 win and the 8th graders blasted a 40-0 shutout against the Bulldogs.
Both squads compiled a 9-0 record against district and non-district opponents.
Both teams claimed the 16-2A District Championships.
“Thank you to all the community members and supporters of the Refugio Athletic program for a season’s worth of support,” said Coach Anthony Quintanilla. “Please continue to support our varsity 2010 playoffs and run at a state title.”
