Carlie Joe Boysen died March 16, 2014 at the age of 93 years. Carlie was born in Hobson, Texas on November 7, 1920. He was a farmer and rancher all of his life. During WW II, Carlie served honorably in the United States Coast Guard. Carlie enjoyed hunting, fishing and drinking coffee with his friends at the cafe. He was known as "Uncle" to his nieces, nephews and their families. He was always there with a birthday card, a smile and a laugh and was always willing to help when needed. Carlie was preceded in death by his Mother, Olga T. Boysen; his Father, Charlie Boysen; Sister, Lola Franklin; Brother, Fabian Boysen. He is survived by his Sister-in-Law, Bess Boysen; his nieces, Olga & husband, Jerry Jaskinia, Jodie & husband, Sean Claes; nephews, Gene Barnes, Ray Barnes, Karl & wife, Sara Boysen; Great nephews & nieces, Clayton & Kelsie Jaskinia, Marlee & Harper Claes, Hagan & Elijah Boysen. A private ceremony will be held by the family. Carlie's family would like to thank all of his friends and the staff at Regency Manor Nursing Home who visited with and cared for him these last three years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Falls City Library.
