The Karnes City ISD Gifted & Talented Program serves students in grade kindergarten in the four core curriculum areas: language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. The identification procedures for this program always start in the spring semester of the kindergarten year. One part of the identification process includes giving parents the opportunity to nominate their child as a possible candidate for this special program. The nomination period began on Jan. 6 and will end on Friday, Jan. 24.

If you feel your child should be considered, please go by your child’s campus and request nomination forms from the front office or the counselor. Complete the form and return it to the front office no later than Jan. 24. Any form received after Jan. 24 will not be considered for the program.
