He was born Sept. 15, 1944 in Runge to Domingo Ramirez and Aurora Mendoza Ramirez. He was a pipeline roustabout.
Survivors include his wife Minerva Ramirez of Karnes City; children Rodney Ramirez of Karnes City, Carrie (Andrew)Lopez of Falls City, Paul (Panna) Ramirez of Karnes City, Darrell (Imelda) Ramirez of Karnes City, Mark Ramirez of Karnes City, Bobby Ramirez of Karnes City, and Tammy (Robbie Garcia) Ramirez of Karnes City; sisters Isabel Ramirez, Pauline Ramirez, Yolanda Segura, Rose Ramirez, Theresa Ramirez, and Diana Flores; brothers Juan, Rosendo, Candelario, Domingo and Lorenzo Ramirez; 19 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Sylvia Salas; and nephew LeRoy Ramirez.
Visitation began at 2 p.m, Thursday, Oct. 31 at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.
The funeral Mass was celebrated at 3 p.m, Friday, Nov. 1 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge.
Interment followed in the Runge Latin Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Paul Abraham, Justin, Christopher, Norman, Tristan and Derrick Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers included Julian Hernandez, Darren Lopez, and Aleyah Garcia.
