Roland “Dutch” Rabenaldt, 91, of Karnes City, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 in Karnes City.

He was born on Dec. 22, 1921 in Yorktown to the late Fritz and Eleanor Koepke Rabenaldt. He married Virginia Gracey Rabenaldt on Jan. 11, 1982 in Seguin. They were married for 25 years until she passed in 2007. He worked for many people, including Rath Packing, Mike Polasek and others.

Survivors include his daughters Sandra Windmeyer of Karnes City, Sherry Harrison of Yorktown, Serena Janysek of Falls City and Kim Barrier of Falls City and son Mike (Mary) Mock of Aledo; his brother Jimmy Rabenaldt of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers, Melvin Rabenaldt, Elo Rabenaldt and Leroy Rabenaldt.

Family visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Eckols Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Luthern Church.

Burial was held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Yorktown.
