Thursday the Kenedy Lions JV hosted the Shiner JV in both teams’ first district contest for 15A Div 1.

Shiner would have too much power in the second half and run away with the game winning 52-24.

Derrick Wilson had a good game on the offensive side as he scored the first td on a 61 yard run with Aaron Villarreal running in the 2pt conversion.

Wilson would hit Chris Pena on a 41 yard td pass and Zeke Jacques would run the 2pt conversion in.

Wilson would get the third touchdown for the Lions on a 3 yard run with Scott Saenz running in the last 2pt conversion.

The JV is now 5-2 on the year and will not play at Falls City now since some of the JV will have to suit up with the varsity on Friday night in the game here against Three Rivers.
