NATIONAL 4-H WEEK OCT. 6 – 12 & ONE DAY 4-H, SATURDAY, OCT. 12

One day 4-H is one day for all 4-H members, parents, leaders, and volunteers to step out into their communities and county and say “thank you” by giving back for the more than 103 years of support to 4-H in Texas. Several Karnes County 4-H Clubs will be doing “One Day” projects. Panna Maria 4-H - cleaning Panna Maria Cemetery, Lonesome Dove 4-H - collecting clothing and toys for local prison visitor center, Falls City 4-H - cleaning Falls City Park, Kenedy 4-H - handing out appreciation gifts to Kenedy ISD teachers.

NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE DAY PROJECT

Maps & Apps Experiment, Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 4 p.m. at the extension office.

KARNES COUNTY YOUTH SHOW/MAJOR SHOW LAMB & GOAT VALIDATION

Wednesday, Oct. 23, 5-7 p.m. at the show barn.

KARNES COUNTY YOUTH SHOW SWINE VALIDATION

Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 26-27 at the showbarn, time-TBD.

COUNTY FOOD SHOW PRACTICE

Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 3:30 p.m. at the extension office.

KARNES COUNTY MARKET DAYS

3rd Saturday of the month, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital Grounds.

COMMUNITY 4K WALK/RUN

3rd Saturday of the month, 8-9 a.m. Begins at the Karnes County Youth Show Barn Entrance, County Road 345.
