Anita Boldt Ohlenbusch passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at the age of 94. She was born April 24, 1919 in Karnes City, Texas to Paul Alexander Boldt and Emma Wegner Boldt and graduated from Kenedy High School in 1938. She married William “Bill” Ohlenbusch October 16, 1938. In 1947 Bill and Anita moved to San Antonio where Bill was Farm Manager of Essar Ranch. Anita was active in the community and in 1957 she entered the work force and was employed at Kallison’s Big Old Country Store, Olmos Lumber Company, and Rugs and Remnants.

Anita was a member of the Bexar County Homemakers Club, Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary, American Business Womens Association and Credit Women International. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes until she and Bill retired to Canyon Lake in 1978 where they joined St. Andrew Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lenora E. Ohlenbusch of Houston, Texas; 2 sons, Paul D. Ohlenbusch and wife Nancy of Georgetown, Texas and Marvin C. Ohlenbusch and wife Marge of Bulverde-Spring Branch, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home, 189 N. Seguin Ave., New Braunfels from 3:00pm until 6:00pm Sunday September 22, 2013. The funeral service was conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, September 23rd at the Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home chapel in New Braunfels with Rev. Paul Miller and Rev. Don Ofsdahl officiating. Interment followed at Cranes Mill Cemetery at Canyon Lake.
