Lamb & Goat Validation for Major Shows will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 5-7 p.m. at the Karnes County Show barn.
Swine Validation will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26 and 27 at the Karnes County Show barn. The time is yet to be determined.
KARNES COUNTY MARKET DAYS
The next Karnes County Market Days, featuring a farmers market will be held Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and continue monthly on the third Saturday of every month. This event will be held on the Otto Kaiser Hospital grounds. The Karnes County 4-H will host a 4K walk/run from 8 to 9 a.m. in conjunction with the market days. Sign in table will be along county road 345 north side of hospital grounds. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Any interested vendors, call 830-780-3906.
IT’S PECAN FUNDRAISER TIME
Karnes County 4-H’ers are now taking orders for the annual pecan fundraiser. Please contact the local 4-Her or the Extension Office at 830-780-3906 to order pecans; orders will be accepted through Oct. 11.
4-H will meet at the Karnes City Savannah Park Apts. Community Room at 4 p.m. on Oct. 1 for a crochet class.
4-H Update and Recordbook Training Sept. 24 at the Victoria County Master Gardner Pavilion. Dr. Chris Boleman and Dr. Kyle Merten from the State 4-H office will deliver a message about Texas 4-H.
County Council Meeting and Adult Leaders meeting will be Monday, Sept. 23 at the extension office at 6:30 p.m.
KARNES COUNTY YOUTH SHOW BENEFIT
The annual Karnes County Youth Show Benefit Casino Night will be Saturday Oct. 5 in Cestahowa. Doors open at 6 p.m. Dinner served from 6:30 – 8.
