Alfred Anton Moczygemba, age 79, of Panna Maria, Texas went to meet his Lord and Savior on July 16, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Alfred was born Feb. 5, 1934 in Panna Maria to Elias Moczygemba and Emelia Urbanczyk Moczygemba. He was a lifelong resident of Panna Maria who made farming and ranching his passion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished and loved his family. He lived his whole life with the values of hard work, integrity, honesty, strength and respect. He was a person who showed great pride in everything he did. He was an outstanding farmer and rancher all his life who put a lot of love and hard work into his farm. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Alfred was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception of Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church; he served his country in the US Army; he was a member of the Holy Name Society; a member and Director with the Panna Maria Hall Association; a member and a Director for the Texas Farm Bureau; and retired after serving thirty nine years as a Board Member of the Karnes Electric Co-Op. Mr. Moczygemba is survived by his loving wife of fifty seven and a half years Margaret John Moczygemba; his children Patrick Moczygemba(Sheila), Cindy Yosko(Larry), Mark Moczygemba(Staci), Tommy Moczygemba(Susan), Natalie Pollok(Rick), and Greg Moczygemba(Lisa); grandchildren Lance Yosko(Andrea), Justin Moczygemba(Amanda), Traye Moczygemba(Magan), Landon Yosko, Bryce Moczygemba, Billy Bob Moczygemba, Emily Moczygemba, Cody Moczygemba, Kason Moczygemba, Madylin Moczygemba, and Kaslyn Moczygemba; and great grandchildren Lane Tucker Yosko and Ainsley Paige Yosko. He is preceded in death by his parents; his only brother Leo Moczygemba; and daughter-in-law Brenda Moczygemba. Visitation began at 4 PM, Friday July 19, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Panna Maria, with a rosary at 7 PM. The funeral mass was celebrated at 10 AM, Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Panna Maria. Interment followed in the Panna Maria Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Lance Yosko, Justin Moczygemba, Traye Moczygemba, Landon Yosko, Bryce Moczygemba, Billy Bob Moczygemba, Cody Moczygemba, and Kason Moczygemba. Alfred always made his family proud and was always admired for his values in life that made him become the great man he was. He always enjoyed the simple things in life, his faith in God, good health, a loving wife and family, and lots of hard work to get what you need in life. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Rhodes Funeral Home.
