ACHIEVEMENT NIGHT DECORATING

Monday July 15, anyone interested in helping prepare decorations for achievement night is welcome to help. We will meet at the extension office at 1 p.m.

COMMERCIAL STEER VALIDATION

Commercial Steer Validation for the 2014 Karnes County Youth Show is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 10 from 8 – 9 a.m. at the Karnes County Livestock Exchange in Kenedy.

SOUTH REGION 4-H RANGE DAY

4-H Range Day on Aug. 9 in Ben Bolt at La Copita Research and Demonstration Ranch. Learn about the 4-H Plant ID and Range Judging Contest. Registration deadline is July 18 to Extension Office.

2013 SPORTS NUTRITION CONFERENCE

July 18, Holiday Inn Emerald Beach, Corpus Christi. The Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service is hosting this conference which is designed to help participants learn the importance of appropriate nutrition and hydration for maximum athletic performance, general health, and wellbeing. Special guests are: Roberta J. Arding, MS, RD, LD, CSSD, CDE. (Sports dietician for Houston Texans NFL Team, The Houston Astros, and The Rice Owls). Amy Goodson, MS, RD, CSSD, LD. (Sports dietician for TCU, Dallas Cowboys NFL Team, and The Texas Rangers MLB Team).
