For those individuals wanting to obtain a Private Applicator’s License, the Karnes County Extension Service will be sponsoring a Private Applicator Training to be held in Kenedy. The training will be on Friday June 7 from 8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Ashland Aqualon Training Center. Please be prompt, as this training requires the full morning. The fee for the Private Applicator Training will be $25 per participant and will include lunch. There will be a break for lunch from 12 noon - 1 p.m. At 1 p.m., a representative of the Texas Department of Agriculture will administer the test.

You will need to make arrangements to come by the County Extension Office to purchase the training manuals prior to the training and testing date if you have not already done so. The cost of these manuals will be $45, which includes the Private Applicators Manual and the TDA Laws & Regulations Manual. Please allow yourself time enough to be able to review the manuals several days prior to the training. We will not mail these manuals out. We will use these manuals as a guide during the training and the majority of the testing will come directly from them. Also, it would be beneficial for you to bring a calculator for use during the test.
