Frances Ann Baker Riedel, of Karnes City, died April 6, 2013.

Mrs. Riedel was born on October 17, 1937 in Laredo. Mrs. Riedel was a graduate of Karnes City High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Karnes City. She was a secretary for Gulf Energy Gas Plant in Runge for over ten years. On September 23, 1983 she married Leonard Riedel.

Survivors include husband Leonard Riedel, daughter Kathy (Billy) Carr, son Mike (Mary) Stulting, daughter Carolyn (Shorty) Hernandez; grandchildren, Kelsey Stulting, Elizabeth Stulting, Matthew Stulting and Tyler Hernandez, step-sons Kenneth and Kelley Riedel and step-granddaughters Holly Lavendar and Trisha Lockhart.

Preceded in death by her father John Francis Baker, mother Nancy Yeary Baker, and her sister and brother-in-law Gloria and Sam Edwards.

A viewing was held Thursday, April 11 and the funeral services were held Friday, April 12, at 10 a.m., both at Rhodes Funeral Home in Karnes City.

Interment followed at Karnes City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Pete Boening, Bobby Farley, Allen Hedtke, Gary Hierholzer, Jackie Perkins, Bert White, Randy Witte and James Wood. Honorary Pallbearers were Andy Demmer, John Moczygemba, Gibby Orsak and John Reed.
