Polly Seale debuts her self-penned one woman show COUGAR MAMA at Austin Cabaret Theatre this Thursday and Friday, April 18 & 19, show at 8:30 pm, optional dinner at 7 pm. Polly, the daughter of Thelma Seale Nichols and the late Horace Seale, is a 4th generation Karnes City native and graduate of KCHS - Class of ’75, graduated from UT Austin in ’78 and moved to California where she has been working in musical theatre for the past 35 years. As a musical theatre gal gets older, the roles get fewer and far between, so Polly finally succumbed and wrote a show of her own! After reading her script, Austin Cabaret Theatre artistic director Stuart Moulton immediately booked her for his next season, and COUGAR MAMA has already been booked for three theatres in the Los Angeles area as well. COUGAR MAMA is about the young women who came of age during the sexual revolution of the 60’s and 70’s, now finding themselves “women of a certain age”… and refusing to become the matronly middle-aged women of the past. Tickets can be purchased through Austin Cabaret Theatre,, scroll down to Polly’s Show COUGAR MAMA and click on Brown Paper Tickets icon to purchase tickets. “Come roar with Cougar Mama!”
