Consuelo was born May 31, 1947, in Kenedy, to Rudolfo Munoz and Alicia Alaniz Munoz. She was a homemaker. She was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers. On September 14, 1985, Consuelo married Luis DeHoyos. Consuelo was of the Catholic faith.
Consuelo is survived by her husband Luis DeHoyos; mother, Alicia Alaniz Munoz of Kenedy; daughters, Anita Rodriguez of McKinney, Esmeralda (Esteban) Batres of Dallas and Michelle Rodriguez of Nixon; sons, Ricardo (Josie) Rodriguez of Lorenzo, Michael Rodriguez of Dallas and Reynaldo Rodriguez of McKinney; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert Munoz, Ruben Munoz and Raul Munoz; sisters, Esperanza Longoria and Trinidad Montes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her father; her infant daughter, Cynthia; and infant son, Rosendo; her step-son, Luis DeHoyos, Jr. and her brother, Rudolfo Munoz, Jr.
Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 4 in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. that evening.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Rev. Stanislaw Marciniak officiating.
Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
