Gary Janecek is a Karnes County resident and founder of CrystalSoft Consulting Group, based out of Panna Maria. Janecek has been involved with the show for the past three years and has a nine-year-old daughter, Madelyn, who shows a pig there.
“This year will be a first,” said Janecek. “The Karnes County Youth Show will have a big projection screen near the stage/arena and a television in the homemaking area that will be projecting the activities going on at the show. CrystalSoft Consulting Group has been contracted to provide this service to the Youth Show for the next three years with an emphasis to put technology into the show’s activities and provide information about the show to the audience.”
The projector will provide for a more visual entertainment and information function that will be in high-definition to enhance the show‘s overall experience, according to Janecek.
“Exhibitor information, buyer/bidder information, auction details, award results, and candid photos will be presented on the screens,” he said. “Area businesses, buyers, and others may also purchase advertisement slides before and during the show, that will be projected on the screens during the show.”
Janecek states that the projector technology will bring high-profile visibility and interaction that will be more interesting and bring greater clarity to all participants of the various aspects and details of the show.
“There is not much technology down here,” he said. “So there is a good market for us to get into, and to try to get more technology into what is going on in our community.”
The Karnes County Youth Show will be held Jan. 17 through Jan. 19 at the Karnes County Youth Show Grounds on US 181, near the hospital between Karnes City and Kenedy.
