KERRVILLE – Goliad High School graduate Stormie Lutz has helped the Schreiner Mountaineers compile a 10-10 softball record, including a 4-4 mark in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

Lutz, a freshman third baseman, helped the Mountaineers gain a split of their four-game SCAC series with Austin College on Friday and Saturday by going a combined 3-for-10 with three runs scored and one RBI.

Schreiner swept a doubleheader from Sul Ross State on March 11 as Lutz went 3-for-5 with one run scored, two RBI and a double.

Lutz is batting .283 (13-for-46) with eight runs scored and 10 RBI.

The NCAA Division III Mountaineers host Puget Sound in a non-conference doubleheader Friday starting at 3 p.m.
