EDNA – Marquis Broussard made a layup with six seconds remaining to give the Edna Cowboys a 63-62 District 30-2A win over the Goliad Tigers on Friday night.

The Tigers were playing without leading scorer Dalton Sturm, who was in Florida preparing to play in an all-star football game Saturday. Starting guard Tangle Johnson also missed the fourth quarter after sustaining an injury early in the third quarter.

Alfred Oritz led Goliad with 18 points and Davian Duncan added 17.

More on the game coming to mySouTex.com.
