Crime Stoppers seeks help solving utility trailer theft

Crime Stoppers of the Coastal Bend is asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible the theft of a utility trailer taken from a lot next to the Antlers Inn on U.S. Highway 59 in Goliad.

The trailer’s owner, Mario De La Garza, reported that the trailer had been stored in the lot for an extended period of time. It was stolen between 8 a.m. Oct. 18 and 8 a.m. Oct. 19.

The trailer is made of a “bluish iron” with a wood floor and white plywood on the sides. It is about eight feet in length and the side plywood sticks up about 12 inches from the floor. The trailer is homemade and has no serial number or license plate. It is valued at $1,100.

Anyone with information about who may have taken the trailer is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 362-0206 or 1-877-362-0206.

All calls are anonymous and could lead to a cash reward of up to $1,000.
