Tri-County CEU Day on Dec. 11

Area livestock and forage producers are invited to this year’s Tri-County CEU Day on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The seminar will begin at the Refugio County Community Center located at the 305 Swift Street, in Refugio. Registration will start at 7 a.m.

The focus of the program will be weed and brush control and understanding water law. The program will feature “Laws and Regulations” by Jon Schmidt, Texas Department of Agriculture; “Pesticide Contamination into Coastal Waterways” by Michael Donalson, Refugio CEA; “Chemical Control Update for Weed and Brush” by Dr. Megan Clayton, Extension Range Specialist; “Water Law” by Tiffany Dowell, Texas A&M AgriLife Specialist and a demonstration on sprayer calibration.

Five CEUs will be provided at a cost of $50 for all five hours or $10 per hour.
