Goliad County Sheriff Kirby Brumby was recently appointed to serve on the legislative committee of the Sheriff’s Association of Texas.

In appointing Sheriff Brumby, Sheriff Maxey Cerliano, President of the Sheriff’s Association of Texas, stated that members of the legislative committee are active participants in the legislative process and insure that bills introduced which affect the duties, responsibilities, training, court and jail functions of the sheriffs are given proper consideration.

Sheriff Cerliano said that after completion of the legislative session, the committee will provide input into a publication.

The publication will be provided at training sessions available to all Texas sheriffs and their personnel.
