All junior commercial heifer entries will be tagged from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Goliad Fair Barns.

Exhibitors must bring with them a statement signed by the breeder showing the heifer’s birthdate. Special accommodations may be made with the chairman, county extension agent and agri science teacher’s approval.  Those who have an appointment to have their heifer project calf hood vaccinated before this date, can contact the extension office and a representative can meet them at the clinic and place the tag at that time.

For information or help in locating heifers, call Rodney Butler at Beeville Livestock at 361-645-5002.

County steer tag-in

Those who are planning to show a steer at the Goliad County Show and did not attend the major show validation in June must attend the county validation on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Goliad Fair Barns from 8 to 10 a.m.

Those who have a 2013-14 major show tag in their steer’s ear are already eligible to exhibit at the Goliad County Fair.
