GOLIAD – The Goliad Tigers broke open a close game in the second half to take a 28-7 non-district football victory over the Yorktown Wildcats on Friday night at Tiger Field.

The game was tied at 7-all at halftime before the Goliad defense shut down the Wildcats in the second half. Goliad quarterback Dalton Sturm had three touchdown runs in the game.

The contest started at 8 p.m. due to a 30-minute lightning delay.
