CORPUS CHRISTI – The Goliad boys cross country team won the small-school division (Classes 1-3A) team title at the Corpus Christi Moody Invitational Cross Country Meet on Saturday at West Guth Park.

Goliad's John VonDohlen took first place overall. Also leading the Tigers was Quentin Alkek (fifth), Austen Guerrero (10th), Jake Schneider (24th), Rhett Davis (28th), Nick Westfall (50th) and Jakob Mata (74th).

Goliad was followed by Corpus Christi Incarnate Word Academy, Rockport-Fulton, Kingsville St. Gertrudis Academy, the Corpus Christi King JV and Ingleside.

The Goliad girls finished fourth behind Andrea DeLaGarza (third), Danielle Garza (13th), Hanna Henson (31st), Denise Jones (37th) and Krista Noland (51st).

Ingleside won the meet and was followed by Corpus Christi Incarnate Word Academy and the Corpus Christi Carroll JV.
