James “Jimmy” Dean Burnett, 25, departed from our world to be with Our Lord. Although we know he is in the loving arms of his great-grandmothers, Thema White, Louise Burnett and Lucille Andrews and grandparents, John W. and Bonnie J. Graff, he is greatly missed by those left behind.

He is survived by his adoring parents, Robert G. and Carol Ann Graff Burnett; loving brother, Robert J. Burnett; his uncles and aunts, Ricky and Keri Graff and Robert L. and Teenie Burnett; his fiance; Chelsea Rubio; and the center of Jimmy’s world, their son, James Dean Burnett Jr. Jimmy was the epitome of a country boy. He loved fishing and hunting and was no stranger to hard work. He loved his family and his giving nature turned a “friend” into a “brother” instantly. We will miss the smile that lit up our world, the bear hugs that made us feel the love that came straight from his heart but mostly we will miss the joy that came from being in the presence of our Jimmy.

Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday May 10, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on N. Commercial street in Goliad with rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the church. Mass will be held on Saturday at the church with Father Ralph Baidoo officiating at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Hawley Cemetery in Blessing at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the James Dean Burnett scholarship fund at P.O. Box 145, Goliad, Texas 77963.
