He was born to the late Cyrus and Rachel Leech Reagan of Charco.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Reagan.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his sons Charles T Reagan (fiancé Peggy), William T (Cristi) Reagan, and his daughter, Mary Jane (Dave) Berry along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Two brothers D P Reagan and Charles Reagan, numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Cyrus was a loving, strong man knows to many as either Cyrus, Cy, Tunnell, Tun, Tex, Dad, Grandpa, Uncle Tun as a dear friend and Masonic brother. He was born on the Pettus ranch near Charco and lived there as a child, graduated from Charco High School in 1939. After graduation he went to Houston and worked there a short time, then off to Baltimore, Maryland and it was there where he met and married Mary Bess Fillinger on June 30, 1943.
He was drafted in 1944 into the Navy and served stateside until honorable discharged After discharge, he and Mary moved to Corpus Christi and worked at the Naval Air station. In 1961 the moved to Natalia and worked at Kelly AFB until 1972. They moved back to Charco in 1976 to get back to his roots and started ranching. During his lifetime he built many homes including the ranch house in Charco.
The family would like to thank Julie Jaillet for helping to take care of Dad in his last days.
Friends may sign the guestbook at Grace Funeral Home in Goliad beginning on Friday, Jan. 11 at 9 am and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday. A celebration of his life will be on Sat., Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. at Grace Chapel in Goliad with Rev. Jim Shamburger officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Runge City Cemetery in Runge.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
In lieu of usual remembrances the family ask that donations be made to the Goliad Masonic Lodge.
