Leroy Magill
Leroy Magill, 90, passed away on August 18, 2014. He was born on November 29, 1923, in Salado, Texas to Aaron and Mattie (Ashcraft) Magill. Mr. Magill served in the U. S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII. He married Mary Blair on June 29, 1971, in Beeville, Texas. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, VFW and American Legion. He retired from NAS Chase Field Civil Service as Public Works Supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Magill of Beeville; a daughter, Kay Johnston of Grove, Oklahoma; a step-son, Rob Williams, and his partner of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren, Angie Miles, Allison Woods, Suzanne Williams, Jodie Williams and Jim Williams; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home chapel.

The funeral service was conducted there Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Homer Hanna officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Donnie Morris, Kevin Wesson, Jason Tindol, Garrett Tindol, David Miller, Erwin Massengale, Chris Fruend,and Bill Truxaw. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Chesnut and Jackie Davis.
