The former Trojan and three-year starting quarterback for the UTSA Roadrunners is the new offensive quality control coach at the University of Houston.
His hiring was announced Friday by the school.
Soza, who threw for more than 6,900 yards and 46 touchdowns in his college career, holds every UTSA passing record and is the school’s all-time leader in rushing attempts and rushing touchdowns.
At Beeville, he was the District 30-4A MVP his senior season and was twice named the district’s Offensive Player of the Year.
He will begin immediately at Houston, which faces Soza’s alma mater in the season opener on Aug. 29.
