The Kenedy Chamber of Commerce will be having its final Kenedy Market Days of the year this Saturday, Aug. 16 at Joe Gulley Park from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The vendors will include the sale of home-made crafts, candles, jewelry, specialty items and more. Vendors are encouraged to obtain their form from the chamber website at or by calling the office at 830-583-3223. Market Day vendors will pay a fee of $25 for 10x10 space. Local youth programs are not charged a fee for selling food or baked good.

To add to the festivities, musician Ben Farias, will be entertaining with his talents. He will play from 11 a.m. -1 p.m. under the gazebo. Tents, tables, and chairs will be available for guests to come relax, listen to the music, shop, and grab a bite to eat.

Another great event that will be taking place at the park is the Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital Back to School Health Fair. The event will take place from 9 a.m. - noon at the park pavilion area and will feature moon bounces and games, a school supply giveaway, prize drawings, and more! Be sure to stay connected with the hospital’s Facebook page.

Lastly, the chamber will be hosting a Donation Station for the Karnes County Humane Organization. The station will be accepting monetary donations and supplies. Items needed are crates and kennels to be used for transport, dog houses, cleaning supplies, flea and tick shampoo, treats, blankets and towels. Tractor City gift cards may also be donated to help purchasing certain types of vaccines carried at the store. Checks may be made out to Karnes County Humane Organization (KCHO). Monetary donations will be used for vaccines and other items that are needed.

Special thanks to the Kenedy City Council and Parks Board for allowing Market Days to be held at Kenedy’s beautiful Joe Gulley Park this year. Be sure to “like” the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce on Facebook to stay informed.
