Police Chief Joe Treviño said officers were called to the Kicker 106 radio station building in the 2200 block of South Washington Street Monday morning, after employees there arrived and found a number of items missing, including three, framed autographed sports jerseys.
Those items included a white Cincinnati Reds baseball jersey autographed by Pete Rose, a blue Buffalo Bills football jersey autographed by Jim Kelly and a green New York Jets football jersey autographed by Boomer Esiason.
All three of the jerseys were mounted in black frames.
Treviño said the jerseys were valued at $450 each.
The staff at the radio station also reported that a green, Sony digital stereo was missing along with a Miller Lite bottle opener and a set of red and black Panasonic head phones.
No value was placed on the other items.
The chief said none of the stolen items could be considered common, especially the jerseys. Anyone who has seen one or more of the missing items probably has information that could lead to an arrest.
Treviño said anyone who could provide information that could lead to arrests in the burglary could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
Anyone who might have seen those items or who might have committed the burglary should contact Coastal Bend Crime Stoppers at 362-0206 or call long distance, toll-free at (877) 362-0206.
Internet users may contact Crime Stoppers by sending an email to coastalbendcrimestoppers.com.
Witnesses who provide information that leads to an arrest do not have to reveal their identities.
