Police detain youths after AT&T store thefts

BEEVILLE – Police took two juveniles into custody on Nov. 12 in connection with thefts apparently committed on Nov. 9 and 10.

According to Police Chief Joe Treviño and Detective Sgt. Art Gamez, the suspects were only 10 and 11 years old.

The two boys reportedly took computer tablets and a “jambox” from the AT&T store at 402 E. FM 351.

Gamez said the two were charged with theft, $50-$500 and theft, $500-$1,500.

Treviño said officers took the two into custody on a warrant, and they were immediately sent to a juvenile detention center in Sinton.
