During the Veteran’s Fair, representatives from local community agencies and businesses will be on hand to speak to veterans about employment opportunities, as well as services and benefits for which they may qualify. Also present will be CBC staff from the Student Development Office, admissions, financial aid, Weekend College and other CBC programs to help guide veterans through the college admissions process.
“CBC provides many services to help veterans reach their educational and career goals. We’re here to serve them, and we’re eager to help them get started here at CBC. We’ll help them every step of the way,” Rosie Streicher added.
Veterans, their families and the general public are also encouraged to stop by the San Antonio Mobile Vet Center provided by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Mobile Vet Center is designed to provide outreach and information to veterans living outside major metropolitan areas. VA staff will be on hand to help answer questions about claims, benefits and counseling services available to veterans. All services provided at the Mobile Vet Center are free of charge.
CBC hopes that all veterans will join them on Nov. 14 for free food, fun, information and door prizes. For more information about the Veterans Fair or veteran’s affairs benefits available at CBC, contact Rosie Streicher at (361) 354-2421 or via email at email@example.com.
