Wayne E. Johnson, 60, passed away on Oct. 1, 2013. He was born on Nov, 12, 1952 to Buzz and Jean (Knodel) Johnson at Hamilton Air Force Base in Novato, Calif. He graduated from San Marcos High School and attended Texas Military Institute and then joined the Navy. He was aboard the USS Alexander Hamilton and worked on the Nuclear Submarine. Wayne was an ordained Aaronic Deacon of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was co-owner of Triple J Construction and Tri County Mobile Concrete, a computer technician and did drafting and designing. He was an illustrator, an author, lover of music, songwriter, musician, astronomer, and an astrologist. He had a love for life, music and the arts. He was an enthusiastic performer and play writer and a member and an usher for The Majestic Theater in San Antonio. He participated in runway photography and also had worked for Barnum and Bailey Circus. Wayne was a man of many hats. There was nothing he could not do to perfection.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Johnson.

He is survived by his father, Buzz Johnson of Three Rivers; two brothers, Alex Johnson and wife Pat of Corpus Christi, and Kurt Johnson and wife Joan of Kemah; two sisters, Tina Bryan and husband Tim of Longview, and Gina Burton and husband Adam of Longview; his kindred sister, Kellie Crawford and husband Gary and family of Three Rivers; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Friday, Oct. 4 at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Three Rivers.
