Jerome “Jerry” Kay Lusk, 72, of Round Rock, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, surrounded by his wife and children.

Mr. Lusk was born in Elkhart, Kansas, to Dr. and Mrs. Jerome Kenneth Lusk. He spent 14 years in Beeville and the remainder of his life in Round Rock. He enjoyed woodworking and construction and was the owner of Lusk Remodeling in Beeville and was self-employed in Austin. He also enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, golfing and woodcarving.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Lusk; and a brother, Capt. Walter Thomas Lusk.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lupe Lusk; two sons, Michael Lusk of Beeville and Samuel Lusk of Round Rock; four daughters, Jerri Lynn Mick of Wichita Falls, Michelle Williams of Malibu, Calif., Denise Lawrence of Hutto and Deyla Lusk of Round Rock; his mother, Alpha Lusk of Lawrence, Kansas; a sister, Linda Norman; a brother, John Lusk; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.

The funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at the funeral home’s memorial chapel.

Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Guajardo, Nicholes James Guajardo, Joshua Jerome Ramirez, Joe Anthony Ramirez, Stephanie Kristen Ramirez and Kelsey Nicole Lawrence; and great-grandson, Adrian Alexander Guajardo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Capital of Texas Chapter, the Susan G. Komen for the Cure – Austin Chapter or Austin Pets Alive.
